Properly preparing your shipments for transit is essential to ensure a successful and speedy delivery. Incorrect postage, insufficient packaging, and labelling errors can all lead to issues with your shipment.
To help you avoid these common mistakes, here are a few key points to keep in mind:
Postage: Double-check that your shipment is going to the right recipient, that the address information is correct (including apartment/unit numbers), and that your ShipShop region is correct. Additionally, make sure your weight and dimensions are accurately inputted.
Packaging: Always use proper packaging to prevent any potential damage. Avoid using other carriers' shipping materials, and include extra padding for fragile items like bubble wrap and packing peanuts. It's recommended to have 2 or more inches of padding between your item and the outer packaging. You may also want to consider adding ShipShop Protection to eligible shipments.
Labelling: Make sure your labels are legible and printed in good quality. Avoid wrapping labels around corners or edges, and place them along the long side of your shipments. Ensure that all information fits on one 4 x 6” label, and that the bar code can be scanned. Do not tape over the bar code or thermal labels, and make sure your addresses are written in English characters.
